We stayed in the Nursery Room (so-called because that is what it was originally used for when it was a family home), which was homey, and spacious enough for us to do yoga in the mornings without being on top of each other. There was an assortment of hot beverage options in the room--tea, instant coffee, and hot cocoa, which was a nice touch. Immediately when we were welcomed in, we were blown away by the beauty and craftsmanship of this Victorian home. We had seen pictures, but they truly don't do justice to the detail and quality of the architecture and decor. The common spaces are large and airy with plenty of natural light. Breakfast both days was exceptional. A fruit and yogurt parfait, strawberry French toast with scrambled eggs, potatoes--which were divine; and fresh fruit, blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs, and potatoes day two. They also offered bacon and sausage, which we did not eat, but which smelled very good. The dining room has separate seating because of the 'vid (aka COVID-19), but we invited another guest to eat with us at the larger table and that was no problem. A refrigerator was available, and the porch area looked absolutely picturesque for sitting and chatting or drinking coffee. Logistically, parking was available and there was no curfew or limitations on coming and going. It's walking distance (1/2 mile) to a neat food hall and other amenities. read less
