From Pittsburgh
Take I-79 north to the 12th Street exit; this is Route 5. You want to take the east exit (since you are traveling north on I-79, the easterly exit is first). In effect, you will be turning right onto 12th street (a.k.a. Route 5). You will then proceed along 12th Street approximately 1.5 miles and you should start looking for Cherry Street. Keep your eye out for Liberty Street (Rick Weaver’s Buick dealership), and the next streets will be Poplar and then Cherry. Turn left (north) onto Cherry Street. Safely proceed to 6th Street and turn right (east). Spencer House is 519, located on the right (south) side of the street, about half-way down the block.
From Cleveland or Buffalo
Take I-90 toward Erie, until you’ve reached I-79 then take I-79 N to the 12th Street exit; this is Route 5. You want to take the east exit (since you are traveling north on I-79, the easterly exit is first). In effect, you will be turning right onto 12th street (a.k.a. Route 5). You will then proceed along 12th Street approximately 1.5 miles and you should start looking for Cherry Street. From Erie International Airport
When you leave the airport’s parking lot, turn right (east); you are now on 12th Street, which is also Route 5. Proceed forward approximately 4 miles, and you will notice the on-ramp which leads to I-79 south. STAY ON 12th STREET. Continue along 12th Street approximately 1.5 miles and you should start looking for Cherry Street. Keep your eye out for Liberty Street (Rick Weaver’s Buick dealership), and the next streets will be Poplar and then Cherry. Turn left (north) onto Cherry Street. Safely proceed to 6th Street and turn right (east). Spencer House is 519, located on the right (south) side of the street, about half-way down the block.
